For seniors & the adults who love them
If you've been worrying about Mom's stairs or Dad's tub from an hour away — this page is for you. Patient, background-checked help for older homeowners across central Connecticut.
Background-Checked Team
Sound familiar?
The rail that wobbles. The bulb burned out over the stairs. The rug your mother trips on but refuses to remove. You live far away, and the list in your head keeps growing.
Hand us the list you've been carrying.
I never stopped wanting to care for older people. The toolbox just became my way.
— Daniel, founderWhy Daniel is the one families ask for
Daniel grew up certain he'd work in medicine. The summers that decided it were spent at his grandmother's house in central Connecticut.
He watched her grip the tub edge to steady herself. Reach too far for the tea things she used every day. Quietly stop using rooms that had become difficult. Nobody called it a problem — it was just how things were. Except to him.
He was the grandson who fixed the wobbly rail, moved the shelf down, changed the bulb she couldn't reach. Years later, the medical path didn't happen — but the work never stopped. Today, Beneva Handyman Services is that calling grown up: a small, specialized team built entirely around older homeowners and the adult children who love them.

Why families trust us with their parents
This is the work Daniel was always going to do. It shows in the pace.
Years inside the older homes of central CT — plaster, knob-and-tube eras, steep colonial stairs.
Explains twice, never talks down, lets your parent stay in charge of their own home.
Specialized in work arranged by loved ones — parents, spouses, adult children, caregivers.
Every single person who enters a client's home. Certificates available on request.
From the daughters, sons, and care managers who trusted us first. Read them →
Most clients book for a parent from another town or state — and get photos after every visit.
Families re-book and refer because their parents actually look forward to the visit.
Put the team to the test on one small job.
On Google, in their words
Average across our Google reviews — most written by adult children arranging care for a parent.
Read every review"I arranged everything from Boston for my mother in Berlin. Two grab bars, photos before I'd finished my workday. First night in months I wasn't worried about her falling."
"He spent twenty minutes just talking with my dad before opening the toolbox. Never once made him feel old or slow. That patience is rare."

The thing families mention most
Other crews hurry, watch the clock, and leave your parent feeling like an interruption. Daniel slows down — explains twice if needed, lets questions take their time, and treats the house like his grandmother's.

Built for the daughter who lives far away
Describe the job; a photo helps. We quote it flat before any work.
Introduce ourselves, agree the day, text when we're on the way.
Photos of the finished work and a written recap — before you've asked twice.
Thirty seconds. Same-day callback with a flat price.
How the visit feels for your parent
The person who quoted the job is the person at the door. No rotating strangers.
"I'm going to move this chair, is that alright?" — permission before every step.
Floors protected before a single tool comes out; cleaned as we go.
Every bar pulled, every rail shaken, with your parent — before we leave.
Give your parent a visit they'll actually enjoy.
The questions daughters ask us
That's the most common first call we get. A safety walkthrough is a gentle way in — a conversation about the house, not an inspection, and nothing is ever pushed. Many parents who "don't need anything" are glad of the rail a month later.
Yes — most of our work is booked that way. You approve the quote by phone, we call your parent first, and you receive photos and a written recap when the visit is done.
Every team member is background-checked, and it's the same person every visit. We introduce ourselves, explain each step as we go, and you're welcome to join the opening call by speakerphone.
The price is agreed in writing before work begins. If something unexpected appears mid-job, work stops until you approve the change. The agreed number is the final number.
Daniel says so at the quote, not after the invoice. Stair lifts, panels, gas, and structural work go to licensed specialists — and he'll help you find the right one.
One call closes the loop
Daniel or a teammate answers between jobs, Monday to Saturday. You'll have a flat price and a visit date the same day.
